In the given figure, let CE=CF=x

It is also given that AB=12 cm, BC=8 cm and AC=10 cm, therefore,

AF=AD=10−x

BE=BD=8−x

Now consider,

AB=AD+BD

⇒12=10−x+8−x

⇒12=18−2x

⇒2x=18−12

⇒2x=6

⇒x=

2

6

=3

Therefore, CE=x=3 cm, AF=10−3=7 cm and BD=8−3=5 cm

Hence, CE=3 cm, AF=7 cm and BD=5 cm.

In the given figure, let CE = CF = x

It is also given that AB = 12 cm, BC = 8 cm and AC = 10 cm, therefore,

AF = AD = 10-x

BE BD 8-X =

Now consider,

AB = AD + BD

→ 12 = 10-x+8-X

12 18-2x

2x = 18-12

→2x = 6

x =  \frac{6}{2}  = 3

Therefore, CE = x = 3 cm, AF = 10-3 = 7 cm and BD = 8-3 = 5 cm

Hence, CE = 3 cm, AF = 7 cm and BD =5 cm.
