Option A
Explanation:
The colonization of America particularly North America led to the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade in which the natives of Africa were brought to the US to work as plantation workers. These native Africans were sold as slaves and it is one of the most horrible instances in the history of human civilization where humans were treated even worse than animals.
Turner was one of the slaves brought to America to work as plantation labourer. And, due to inhumane situations in which the slaves were kept and treated, he started a rebellion against their white masters. This slave rebellion led by slave Nat Turner took place in August 1831 in the southern state of Virginia. The slaves killed some 55 to 65 people in which 51 among them were whites.
The authorities reacted immediately and the rebellion was crushed with extreme cruelty. Nat Turner ran away but, was captured later and hanged. Most of the innocent slaves who had no role in the rebellion were severely punished out of frenzy. After this rebellion, the atrocities on the slaves increased and many slaves were subjected to live in inhumane conditions and to suffer unnatural crimes committed against them.
