Intel 4004 is the first Microprocessor introduced by Intel.

It is not only first Microprocessor of intel, but also it is the first microprocessor in the history of world. Intel 2004 was designed for General purposes to run a normal CPU. It was released in March 1971.

Intel 4004 was released as a Successor of Intel 4040. It was having a high speed of that period as a 740 kHz. Intel 4004 was a 4 bit processor designed with the 2250 transistors in it.
