here, Only one Indian movie was nominated on Oscar for the best foreign language is Lagaan: once upon time in India (2001) directed by Ashutosh gowarikar. And rang de basanti was nominated in BAFTA for best non English movie(2007) directed by Rakesh Om Prakash Mehra in both movie actor was Amir Khan (Mr perfectionist). U should go and check out those movies of Amir Khan and his others also.
