On Earth, the sky is "up" (not near the horizon, of course). That's relative to the surface of the Earth's or relative to the centre of the Earth. Thus, in the Northern hemisphere "up" is in a different direction from "up" in the Southern hemisphere. But, of course, it all depends on having points of reference.
