Harappa and Mohenjadaro are the two main centres of the Sindhu-Saraswati civilization.

Sindhu -Saraswati civilizaion flourished on the river valleys of Indus and Sarawati river. Harappan Civilization is only known as Sindhu-Saraswati civilization. It is one of the largest civilization of the ancient world. Kalibangan was found on the dried river banks of river Saraswati.

The Indus River Valley Civilization existed between  3300-1300 BCE, was also referred as the Harappan Civilization which extended from today`s northeast Afghanistan to Pakistan and northwest India.

Harappa located in modern Pakistan was believed to be home to nearly  23,500 residents who lived in sculpted houses with flat roofs which were made of red sand and clay. The city had religious centres and fortified administrative of the same style which was used in Mohenjo-daro.
