'Look back in anger' is a British play by John Osborne. It's about Jimmy Porter, a young married man who cannot earn enough for his expenses and is worried about England's situation after World War II.
Cliff Lewis is a friend of Jimmy Porter. Even though he is in a similar situation as Jimmy but he doesn't agree with him completely. Osborne describes Cliff as a laid-back, genuine character who is much more hopeful in life. Even though it is hard for both Jimmy and Cliff, Cliff showcases a positive attitude toward his situation. This makes Cliff different from the main character Jimmy. Cliff helps Jimmy in his sweet stall and spends a lot of time with the Porters.
