ᴄᴏʀʀᴇᴄᴛ ǫᴜᴇsᴛɪᴏɴ :-

  • Which would require a greater force - accelerating a 10g mass at 5m/s² or a 20g mass at 2m/s²?

ᴛᴏ ғɪɴᴅ :-

  • Which would require a greater force?

Sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-

As we know that

Condition-1

  • Mass = 10g
  • Acceleration = 5m/s²

→ Force = mass × Acceleration

→ Force = 10/1000 × 5

→ Force = 0.05N

Condition-2

→ Force = mass × Acceleration

→ Force = 20/1000 × 2

→ Force = 0.04N

Hence,

  • A greater force of 0.05N is required for accelerating a 10g mass
