Answer: The correct answer is Aneuploidy.

When an abnormal number of chromosomes is present in a cell, the condition is called as Aneuploidy. This can include an extra or less number of a particular chromosome. It arises because of non disjunction ( improper segregation of chromosomes between two cells) during cell division.  

For example-  In Trisomy 21 ( also called as Down syndrome), there are three copies of chromosome 21 instead of normal two copies.
