As acetone and water are both miscible liquids, Simple distillation technique can be used in this case. If we add acetone's and water's boiling point, we know that it will be less than 25k. So simple distillation technique can be used to get acetone from water.

The boiling point of water is hundred degree Celsius and that of acetone is 56 degree Celsius.

Therefore simple distillation will separate Acetone from the solution.

Acetone having lower boiling point will distil off First leaving water behind.
