While eating food, you happen to spill some curry on your white shirt. You immediately scrub it with soap.
(i) What happens to its yellow colour on scrubbing with soap? Why?
(ii) What happens to this stain when the shirt is washed with plenty of water?

Curry contains turmeric powder which is a natural indicator. And soap is a base. So when soap is scrubbed in that part the colour changes to red.

2. When water is used it produces a compound called micelle which help to remove the dirt easily. Actually micelle is a hydrocarbon which a hydrophobic and hydrophilic ends
