While getting down from a moving vehicle a person should always run in the same direction as thar of the vehicle because initially the person has the momentum same as that of the moving vehicle when he is boarding the bus.
Due to this momentum the person will tend to move forward in the direction of the motion due to the inertia of motion.
If the person tries to get down without doing that he will unknowingly change the inertia suddenly but his momentum will not let him do so and he might fall.
As changing momentum causes force in the direction of motion and so he will experience a force which will make him fall.
So, it is always adviced to do so while getting down a moving bus.

Answer:
A passenger getting down from a moving bus, falls in the direction of the motion of the bus. This is because his feet come to rest on touching the ground and the remaining body continues to move due to inertia of motion
