M.S.R =35 mm

V.S.D=5

Diameter of the sphere = M.S.R + V.S.D× L.C.

Given that 20 division of the vernier scale is equal to 19 division of the main scale

L.C. =1 M.S.D/ no of division on V.S. =1 mm / 20 =0.5mm

Total reading =M.S.R + n×L.C. =35 mm + 5×0.05 mm=35.25 mm
