While playing in a park, a child was stung by a wasp. Some elders suggested applying the paste of baking soda and others suggested lemon juice as a remedy. Which remedy do you think is appropriate and why?

The nature of baking soda is basic whereas lemon juice is acidic in nature. So applying the paste of baking soda is good remedy as compared to the paste of lemon juice because wasp sting releases methanoic acid into the sting region which causes itchiness. The nature of baking soda is basic.
