According to this question,

Cost Price (C.P.) = Rs. 50 per kg
Selling Price (S.P.) = Rs. 60 per kg

Now the profit (per kg) is = S.P. - C.P. = 60 - 50 = Rs. 10

Total Profit = Weight of sold products x Profit per kg
                    = 40 x 10 = Rs. 400
