While the sun rises earlier in the east se Nagaland and also sets earlier how do the watches at Kohima and New Delhi show the same time

Here , as we know that the sun rises in the east so , the first rise of sun starts from the east side of India . Because of the vast distance between east and west of India , sun rises earlier in Kohima ( as compared to the New Delhi) .

Because of these time difference ……

India have standard time for whole country. Because of the standard meridian of India ( 82°30′E ) passing through Mirzapur in Uttar Pradesh is taken as standard time for whole country .




Hence, in East ( Kohima ) and in west (New Delhi) the watches show the same time .
