ANSWER: THE MIRROR IS A CONVEX MIRROR, the focal length is 5.12cm and the magnification of the image is 0.025.

Explanation:

to calculate focal length = 1/f=1/v+1/u

1/f= 1/5+1/-200

1/f=1/5-1/200

1/f=(40-1)/200

1/f=39/200

f=5.12

and now to calculate magnification = M =-v/u

M=5/-200

M=0.025

Therefore as it is a CONVEX mirror the image formed will be diminished, erect and virtual image is formed
