While you are on the moon would you will be able to talk to each other? If not, what is the alternative?

While you're on the moon, you're not able to talk to each other. As sound is a longitudinal wave, it cannot travel through vacuum, moon does not have air.
I think astronauts use some sort of sign language to communicate.
