Prime minister is known as the head of the government.
The leader of the party that got maximum no : of votes in the Lok Sabha is elected as the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister is indirectly elected. The Prime Minister must be a member of any one house of the Parliament. If that person is not a member , then he /she will have to take a seat in any one house of the Parliament within 6 months.
