Sub: Nuisance caused by loudspeakers in the city

Dear Sir/Ma’am,

I want to draw your kind attention towards the nuisances caused by the loudspeakers in our locality. The noise pollution has been affecting every single resident here and it is a kind request to publish our views in your newspaper for resolving this issue.

Most of the residents are students are who are preparing for their final examinations day and night. During the day the loud noise from the speakers disturb the students and in late night also they are not able to concentrate properly and the noise is seriously unbearable. As a result students are facing anxiety and stress issues all day which is indeed not good for their health.

On behalf of all our students of the society I plead you to publish our concern in your section and appeal to the concerned authorities to take some necessary actions for the welfare of these students.

Thanking you,

Yours sincerely,

Parvati

Ill effects on students of too much of television

Television has become a great source of entertainment as well as knowledge for both children and adults. Students prefer more on indoor watching and playing rather than reading books and playing outdoor activities. Continuous watching of television has lead many students to become dull and lethargic and due to the availability of a great number of programs including variety in cartoons and music entertainment the addiction of watching these programmes on a daily basis has been increased among students now a days.

Easy availability of all channels and programmes has attracted the students to watch daily which results in a huge loss of interest in their studies. Children prefer watching their programmes first as soon as they reach home after school rather than concentrating on their homework. The continuous watch of such electronic medium has an adverse effect on the eyesight of many children and being an indoor for such a long time has also resulted in their poor mental and physical heath. Children have become a captive who also has a downfall in their academic performance which is definitely a serious issue to work and think upon as soon as possible.

hope this helps

Dear Sir

Subject: Nuisance caused by loudspeakers in the city during examination days

Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper I would like to draw the attention of the authorities concerned to the nuisance caused by the indiscriminate use of loudspeakers at religious places, wedding processions, market places and jagrans during the examination days. Students are unable to concentrate on the heavy backlog of revision work during these days. The result is that they fare badly in the examinations and this leads to frustration and unhappiness among students. Their parents also suffer due to it. It is high time the authorities concerned take a serious note of this nuisance and initiate remedial measures to check the problem. Use of loudspeakers should be totally banned irrespective of the place where these are used. It is not only a cause of nuisance but also adds to the noise pollution.

Yours faithfully

Prabhu Kumar
