Anonymous: Bengalis started to migrate from Bengal since 15th century under the entrepreneurship of local kokborok kings.The migration continued slowly afterwards as farmers and intellectuals. In 1941, 15000 people from Narshingdi who were subject of Tripura king settled there due to a local riot. From 1947 many from Comilla division ,Noakhali ,Sylhet also from Kishoreganj ,Chittagong have settled there till 1971.
Anonymous: The settlers are mostly Hindus but there are Muslims who went there 100 years ago. They all live happily there as Indian citizens
