It were actually the Five-star hotels in Bombay and Delhi which brought the live coverage of the Gulf War to the small screen via CNN (Cable News Network) and ushered the Satellite T.V Revolution in urban India.
Later we see new channels were launched and more households were linked to cable networks. Today more than 50% households in India have T.V sets at their disposal.
