Force = 10 N

Horizontal work = force * displacement

10*5= 50 J

Vertical work = 10*10

=100 J

Total work = 100 + 50

= 150 J

Hope it helps.

luckysin: your answer is wrong
purnimabirwadkar: Then you tell me the answer that is correct.
purnimabirwadkar: If you have that much confidence in you, ANSWER the question.
purnimabirwadkar: Pointing out others' mistake is very easy, but doing the same thing is definitely tough.
luckysin: just wait 2 minutes
purnimabirwadkar: What is the answer that you calculated?
luckysin: Case 1:
force= 10 N
Displacement= 5 m
Work done= FScos(theta)
=10* 5* cos(90)
= 50*0
=0J
Case 2:
Force=10 N
Displacement=10m
Work done=FScos(theta)
= 10*10*cos(180)
=100*-1
=-100
Now, total work done= 0+(-100)
=-100J
So, the total work done by the person = -100 J
