no one can see without eyes..but scientists are trying to They're already doing it. It's called a Visual prosthesis. There are numerous ongoing projects trying to make it happen. Interfacing to nerves is difficult, but they are making slow progress. It's not so simple as a one-to-one match between pixels and nerve fibers. The coding system is complicated, and we don't fully understand it. Nor do we have the technology (yet) to work with nerves at a fine-grained level over a long time.
