the president is indirectly elected by means of an electrol college consisting of the elected members of the parilament of India and the legislative assemblies of the states and the union territories of Delhi and Puducherry the no of value votes based on the population in 1971 rather then the current population as a result of the 42 amendment and the extended by the 84th amendment........ hope it is help u
