THE FIRST COTTON MILL WAS ESTABILISHED IN 1771 AT CROMFORD, DERBYSHIRE, ENGLAND. JAMES HARGREAVES HAD INVENTED THE "SPINNING JENNY" , WHICH RICHARD ARKWRIGHT GREATLY IMPROVED IN 1769 WITH THE DEVELOPMENT OF "WATERWHEEL SPINNING FRAME" WHICH IS THE FIRST WATER - POWERED COTTON MILL AND EVENTUALLY THE FIRST COTTON MILL
