Answer:

The caste system was an creation of the ancient Indian scripture, which distinguished person based on their occupation. Earlier it was solely based on differnciation of work. But later with the coming of scriptures like puranas and smriti’s the differenciation of work turn into the caste structure, where profession of individual decided their social standing thus cementing the division. Thus a next generation of person in specific profession has to compulsarily abide by the norms set by these scriptures.

With the support of Kshatriya caste this belief got stronger about lower caste. As in the ancient period the “divine rule of king” concept developed which was mostly the genesis of scriptures. The sages in the king’s court hardened their stand on caste distinction.

who did the caste system benefit ❓

The caste system was created by Aryans when they completely conquered native Indians of North East India who were peoples of Indus Vally Civilization, living with highly cultured and civilized life since the time immemorial. Such civilization was existing throughout India. There is evidence for the supply of Gold from Karnataka on those days to people of IVC. They had an egalitarian society. They were worshippers of Shiva, Shakti, Maramma, etc. They had good knowledge of all kinds. Nataraja was their deity of Dance, who was also the incarnation of Shiva. Srikanta the deity of Music. Yogeswara the deity of Yoga. Zero and denary number system were invented by Native Indians living before the advent of Aryans. Different kinds of philosophies like Bakti Yoga, HataYoga, Karma Yoga and many were invented by native Indians before the entry of Aryans. Aryans who are now identifiable as Vaishnavas and Brahmins were very jealous of the knowledge and civilization of native Indians. Therefore when they conquered Native India, Aryans transferred all the knowledge of native Indians to Vedas and destroyed all the pieces of evidence. And to enslave the native Indians they introduced the caste system.
