Step-by-step explanation:

I have read at many places that zero was discovered by Aryabhata but when i was discussing this with my mathematics teacher he told me that zero had already been discovered before Aryabhata and it was also used by Euclid. Aryabhata just made Asians aware of it.

Answer:

There are three main therory about the invention of zero.  Some sources say that zero was founded by Hindu astronomer and mathematician Brahmagupta, while the other sources suggests that zero first appeared in Mesopotamia around 3 B.C. The Mayans invented it independently circa 4 A.D. It was later devised in India in the mid-fifth century, spread to Cambodia near the end of the seventh century, and into China and the Islamic countries at the end of the eighth. And some other sources say that it was founded by Hindu mathematician Aryabhatta.
