Explanation:

The human brain accounts for around 80 billion of these cells. Cells were discovered by Robert Hooke in 1665, who named them for their resemblance to cells inhabited by Christian monks in a monastery.

Robert Hooke

Robert Hooke FRS (1635 – 3 March 1703) was an English scientist and architect, a polymath, recently called "England's Leonardo", who, using a microscope, was the first to visualize a microorganism. An impoverished scientific inquirer in young adulthood, he found wealth and esteem by performing over half of the architectural surveys after London's great fire of 1666. Hooke was also a member of the Royal Society and since 1662 was its curator of experiments. Hook was also Professor of Geometry at Gresham College.
