Answer:

Lencho was a poor farmer who lived on the top of a low hill. The hailstorm had completely destroyed all his fields and he was left with no money as he invested all his money in crops and had no other occupation. Lencho then wrote a letter to God demanding for hundred pesos so that he could feed his family for that year. The postmaster who was a considerate man decided to give money to Lencho so that his faith in God do not get shaken. But, he was not able to gather all the money. So, he put the money he was able to gather and signed the letter 'God'.

The following Sunday, Lencho came earlier to the post office asking about any letter for him. The postman himself handed the letter over to him while the postmaster was watching him from his desk and felt happy to have helped him. Lencho opened the letter but was not surprised to see the money as he knew God would help him as he was taught from childhood. But, soon he became angry as he counted all the money. He was displeased to see that only seventy pesos had reached him out of the hundred pesos that he had demanded. He knew that God could neither make a mistake now he would deny him for what he wanted. He then wrote another letter to God demanding for the rest of money which he had not received. He blamed the post office employees for taking the rest of the money and addressed them as 'bunch of crooks' in his second letter to God. He also mentioned God not to send the rest of the money by mail as he worried that the post office employees would again steal the money from him.

The ending of this story is interesting and ironical. The postmaster and the post office employees who did a good deed were blamed instead of being praised. The postmaster and the post-office employees who have given their hard-earned money to Lencho were blamed by him for stealing the money. The post office employees who gave a part of their salary to Lencho and the postmaster who mentioned 'God' instead of his name in the  letter seemed 'a bunch of crooks' to Lencho and the people who stole his money.

Hope it helps...
