The judiciary is the first pillar of the constitution. The first two pillars is the legislature and the executive.

Its functions include:

To solve any ambiguity in the language of any provision of the constitution.

It acts as a protector of fundamental rights which are guaranteed by the constitution to its people and also resolves the disputes which have come by way of appeals from the lower judiciary.
