Bonjour!

* Carolus Linnaeus gave bionomial nomenclature.

* Necessity of bionomial nomenclature.

Bionomial nomenclature is a system of providing a name with two components – generic name and specific name or specific epithet which helps in avoiding the confusion among the people of different areas of the world because in comparison to scientific names, the local names or common names vary from region to region, even within a country. Therefore, scientific names should be assigned to each living organism, so that all
biologists and people use the single name for a particular organism.

Hope this helps...:)

GOOD MORNING!!!!!!

HETE IS THE ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION.....

CARLOUS LINNAEUS proposed a system of scientific naming using two name for every organism- the genus and the species name this system of providing a name with two components is called Binomial nomenclature. The fundamental principle of nomenclature is that all taxa may bear only one scientific name which is being practised by the biologists to make it convenient to understand or study any organism as common for all over the world. The first word of the scientific name (species name) is the name of the genus to which the organism belongs. The second part of the name is the species. The species name is usually a Latin description of some important characteristics of the organism. The Genus should be in capital but not the species and the names are written in Italics or underlined. For example, Nelumbo nucifera (lotus flower), Mangifera indica (Mango) etc.
