Nobody invented history. History is a study of past and its influence on present. It is studied to know the origin of variety of events that occur today. It helps us to know how people were in the past and how they are in the present and how their lifestyles have changed and why.
People wrongly complain "History is boring." But it is in fact one of the most interesting and best subject you can get to study. So stop hating it. Also, if you hate history, read Horrible Histories by Terry Deary, at least Smashing Saxons of this series.
Arithmetic was invented to facilitate counting. It was invented in primitive form in the Egypt. Egyptians used symbols to represent numbers. Later on, the Europeans adopted Indo-Arabic number system. Slowly, rules and regulation were made, signs were added, algebra was developed, etc.
Geometry was invented by Greeks.
