Blaise Pascal a native of france invented the SI units. There are 7 basic units in the SI system: the metre(m),the kilogram (kg), the second(s), the kelvin (k), the ampere(A) the mole(mol) and the candela (cd). The international system of units is the modern form of the metric system.
