Hello friend

_______________________________________________________

Aryabhatta  was a great astrologer and mathematician of ancient India. He composed the Aryabhati texts in which many theories of astrology have been rendered.  In this book, he wrote his birthplace Kusumpur and birth-time Sankat 398. The ancient name of the present Patna in Bihar was Kusumpur but Aryabhata's Kusumpur was in the south, it is now almost proven.

According to another belief, he was born in Ashmak, Maharashtra. His scientific work could be completed in the capital only. So he traveled a long way and settled in Kusumpur near modern Patna and completed his compositions in Rajasanidhi.
