in 1895,a man named Birsa Munda was seen roaming the forest and villages of chhottanagpur in jharkhand. people said he had a miraculous power ..
birsa munda was born in mid-1870s
the son of a poor father, he grew up around the forest of Bohonda, as an adolescent, birsa heard tales of munda uprisings of he past and saw the sirdars
of the community urging the people to revolt.
they talked of golden age when the Mundas had been free of the oppression of dikus, and said there would be a time when the ancestral right of the community would be stored

⏩Birsa Munda was born in Ranchi, Jharkhand. He at a very young age become sensitive about exploitation of the people by the dikus( outsiders).

⏩He also opposed the system of forced labour. Birsa wanted to reform the tribal society and wanted to recover the glorious past.

⏩He earched the clive members to give up drinking lickers, practicing animal sacrifices and stop believing in evils.

⏩He wanted his people to cultivate their own land and free themselves from the clutches of zamindars and landlord.

⏩He was against Christians missionaries and Hindu landlords who criticized the life of Munda.
