Charles Darwin

Charles Darwin was and English scientist who contributed in putting forward the theory of evolution of life on the earth passing through various stages of changes. He I was born on February 12, 1809 in Shrewsbury, England. By 1825, he was an apprentice doctor at University of Edinburgh Medical School. He had a keen interest in natural history. Considering this, his mentor John Stevens recommended him to to accompany Robert Ftzroy for a voyoga on HMS Beagle. On this voyage, he collected many specimens and studied them.

He carried out a deep research on wrote the book 'Origin of species' which put forward the theory of evolution, i.e. the theory of origin of life on the earth. This book is very popular and is considered to be milestone for the study of the origin of present-day life passing through many stages.

He died on April 19, 1882. Darwin will always be remembered for his significant work.
