Who is closer to animals; algae or Protozoa? In what aspect?

 Protozoa on the other hand are eukaryotes that are either free-living or parasitic.

They feed on natural matter such as other single-celled organisms as well as organic tissue.

 Thus, Algae is closer to plants, since it contains chlorophyll just like plants.
