Euclid as the father of geometry. Euclid was a great mathematician and often called the father of geometry. Very little information is available about Euclid but it is presumed that he was born around 330 B.C in Tyre. Going by the accounts of certain Arabic authors, he came from a rich background. His father was “Naucrates” while his grandfather was Zenarchus.
