I personally believe Napoleon Bonaparte was the superior get real and here is why. He effectively and continually won battles against both larger and better equipped opponents even though he was by far outgunned. You must remember that France was a broken state racked with turmoil shortly before Napoleon came to power, he managed to not only rework the laws and economy but found one of the best militaries the world had ever seen, managing to turn France into a superpower! While Genghis Khan has his tactics he was outright brutal and rapped countless people. Further more most of the land he conquered were vast uninhabited stretches of steeps and grasslands. On the other hand Napoleon managed to conquer densely enhabeted countries and world powers. When Genghis Khan conquered Eastern Europe and the steeps it was largely uninhabited and no serious superpowers blocked his advance. Khan’s prutality is a whole nother story, he rapped and murdered countless women and children. On one account he even said, “The greatest happiness is to vanquish your enemies, to chase them before you, to rob them of their wealth, to see those dear to them bathed in tears, to clasp to your bosom their wives and daughters.” Napoleon employed far more “civilized tactics” even straight but liberated nations like Poland. But we are not here to assess who has the moral high ground out of the two, but which one is the greatest general. To conclude, Napoleon conquered superpowers that where far more industrialized than him and often straight up outgunned and outmanned him on countless occasions. While Khan only conquered largely uninhabited lands where there were no superpower or even large countries to stand in his path. In addition, Khan’s soldiers where trained from a young age, born and breed to be soldiers, Napoleon’s troops pail in comparison when it comes to training time yet they are far superior standing there ground in even the worst of situations. Napoleon effectively inspired and used his troops to be able to destroy and conquer the superpowers of his time. For this and many other reasons I believe Napoleon Boneparte is undoubtably the superior commander here. If you got through all of that congrats! I hope I answered your question :)

Answer:

Ghenghis Khan was a better leader. He started as an orphan and ended up forging the strongest tribal alliance in human history.

Napoleon was a better battlefield commander. He had an intuitive grasp of when and where he needed to commit his troops to outmaneuver his foes during campaigns and outfight them on the day of battle.

Which mattered more? The soft skills of leadership or the technical skills of command? Well, Ghenghis Khan died as the ruler of a vast realm in Central Asia, his sons loyally by his side, before they rode off to resume command of their share of his forces and his realms. More humans trace descent from him than from any other historical personage. Napoleon died a lonely exile in the remote South Atlantic, with no heir of his body willing to admit to it.
