Benjamin Franklin was known as the father of civics.Though he was a scientist but he was very much concerned about the social aspects.General public were not aware about the working of the government and the constitution's etc.like the amendments and changes in government policies etc.
Benjamin Franklin wanted to make people aware about their surrounding area and rights in general etc.So he worked towards it.
