MLC- Member of Legislative Council. Like there is a state legislative assembly, there is a state Legislative Council. They both are like Lok Sabha And RajyaSabha respectively. The members of LC are not elected by people but by the MLA, Mayors, Councillors of that particular state. The Legislative council is present only in big states like Uttar Pradesh, Maharashta, etc.

MP- Member of Parliament. He can be member of Lok Sabha or Rajya Sabha. The party whose no. of MPs in Lok Sabha are above 50% of the total seats becomes the ruling party of centre. MPs have bigger constituencies than MLAs. Rajya Sabha MPs are elected by MLAs of a particular state, Councillors, etc whereas Lok Sabha MPs are elected by people in the general election.

Mayor- Mayor or Mahapaur is the head of the Municipal Corporation(Big cities) or Municipal Council(Small cities) of cities. He orders various works to be carried out in the city according to his duties. Mayor is also councillor from a particular ward.
