R. Mutyala Raju, the 2006 topper in civil services examination, assumed charge as the District Collector at the Nellore Collectorate here on Monday in the presence of scores of district officials and employees.
Hailing from a farmers’ family located at a remote village named Chinagollapalem in Krishna district coastal belt, Mr. Raju completed his engineering at the National Institute of Technology, Warangal, and also did ME at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.
