Thew first president of independent India was Dr.Rajendra Prasad.
He was the president from 26th January, 1950 to 14th may 1962.
He was born in a village in Bihar on 3rd December 1884 and left this world on 28th february 1963
He is a lawyer and joined the Indian national congress during the struggle of India for its independence
He actively participated in salt satyagraha and quit India movements
He was even imprisoned along with Mahatma Gandhi and others
He once became the president of Indian national Congress
