Vice-President is the ex-officio chairman of the Rajya Sabha. But in the absence of Chairman, it is run by the Deputy Chairman. So, Mr. Hamid Ansari(Now M.Venkaiya Naidu) is the current Chairman of Rajya Sabha. But in his absence, it is run by Mr. P.J.
