According to my opinion, Gaston is better in business because of his shrewdness and calculative nature. Though Juliette was ready to sell the villa 'the wretched place' at one hundred thousand francs, she quoted the amount as two hundred fifty thousand francs when Gaston asked the price for the villa and later she agreed at two hundred thousand francs. On the other hand, Gaston made one hundred thousand francs without spending a penny within a few minutes just because of his presence and mind and manipulation. He could take the risk to feign as the owner of the house in the presence of Ms. Al Smith and sold her the villa before he had the possession. A daring businessman indeed he is!
