Lavoisier sometimes is known as the Father of Modern Chemistry, to distinguish his work from contributions made before chemistry was a true science. Geber and Lavoisier aren’t the only people who have been called the “Father of Chemistry.” Robert Boyle, John Dalton, and Jöns Berzelius are other candidates for the title.

Answer:

Father of Chemistry

Its not so clear to define exactly the father of Chemistry. But scientists and their contributions to the respected field took them to a higher position.

Since there are devolopments in the field of chemistry from 1000BC itself each scientists work is noticeable.

When it comes to modern chemistry Antoine Lavoisier is considered as the father of modern chemistry because of his book ELEMENTS OF CHEMISTRY(1787).

He discovered and named the Hydrogen and Oxygen which are the first and the third-most abundant element respectively. So he will definitely stand as the father of Chemistry.

Hope it helped ❤
