Who is Gichin Funakoshi ?

Born in November 10, 1868 in Japan. He was a man who made karrate too popular among people. Many people got inspired by Gichin and showed a lot of interest in karate . Late Gichin started to recognise as founder of karate.

What was early life of Gichin ?

Gichin as a child was just too weak compared to others. He didn't had any strength. But on joining primary school he started to be take interest in karate.

When he started to preach/train ?

Gichin started to train his students when he was 53. In the year 1923 japan set on an massive earthquake. Still Bichon called his students to his home and then taught. Funakoshi brought 15 kata compiled from various styles.

How was his personality ?

Funakoshi was in general a friendly person according to his students. He was strict but he never enforced on someone and be like a boss.

Death !

He died because of colon cancer in Tokyo Japan on 26 April.

Gichin Funakoshi, founder of Shotokan karate, is generally credited with having introduced and popularized karate on the main islands of Japan. In addition many Okinawans were actively teaching, and are thus also responsible for the development of karate on the main islands.
