Governor General is an officer represents the British monarch in the Indian state. They had the power of Foreign affairs and Defence. It is the one of the highest posts in India under British rule. Many people who served as governor generals passed many bills and acts to improve the wellbeing of India. Lord Mountbatten was the first British Governor General of independent India and then C. Rajagopalachari was the first Indian and the last Governor General of India. This post is forsaken after India became a republic country.
