The difference in salaries between men and women football is like heaven and earth. What a female star takes home per year is simply what an average player will make in two months. The reasons are obvious to all of us but something needs to change. FIFA needs to find a way to promote female football. The federation might need to use money collected through male football to sell the women game.
Football can be a great tool especially in Third World countries that can be used to fight discriminations and mistreatment of the girl child. It is also a direct ticket out of poverty. The Corporate World also need to come in and help grow the women game in their effort to give back to the society.
